QE II Wildlands
Queen Elizabeth II Paddling
Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park is one of the closest area to southern Ontario that offers a backcountry paddling experience. The area is quite rugged and better suited to more experienced paddlers.
Being a non-operating provincial park, Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands lacks many of the amenities found at other large provincial parks. There is no visitor's centre, no car campgrounds, and no staff onsite to answer questions. While the parking areas have toilets, there's no running water so make sure to bring everything you'll need for your trip.

Queen Elizabeth II Camping
Unlike most provincial parks in southern Ontario, Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands does not require permits for backcountry camping. Camping is only allowed in designated campsites but there is no fee to stay overnight. There is no reservation system and all campsites are first-come first-served so it's best to find a site early in the day. Always follow Leave No Trace principles while camping in the backcountry.
